I've only ruined 1 or 2 pairs of jeans in mud. One time, it was this red pudding like stuff and I didn't get it everywhere; just in selected areas. Well I had no idea it was going to leave them permanently and noticeably marked to the extent that I couldn't wear them again. If I have thought of it, I could have simply returned and completed the job but I never did. I threw them away.
