Miss Thunberg is from Sweden. Dr. Attenborough is from England. Del is from Maine. I often wonder why people who worry about anthropogenic global warming hail mostly from cold climates. I hardly ever hear Arizonans express concern over it.
I do remember decades ago encountering an environmentally-conscious park ranger who rebuked me for stomping in the mud off trail. He said I was destroying the desert. A strange thought occurred to me: What does a desert become when it is destroyed? A rain forest?
I suppose one idea is to take a hog with you when mud wallowing. The hog will appreciate the mud and will eat the snakes for you.
