I wouldn't hand in any letter to the Headmaster, not until you've had a solicitor look it over at least, particularly if it includes any admission of guilt. Just because he says you won't be prosecuted doesn't mean he's telling the truth. This POS has already tried to cover up someone who tried to murder you and have you take the blame for it.
