The best movie that I can recall for maintaining the wet look for a character is the 1998 version of "The Parent Trap." Actor Dennis Quaid accidentally falls in the pool fully clothed and emerges positively dripping (one of my favorite wacky wet scenes). Post pool fall he has a scene with his ex wife and identical twin daughters played by Lindsay Lohan. Since Lindsay was playing two girls wearing different outfits she obviously had to change costumes. Yet Dennis Quaid remained visibly wet and drenched throughout. I read somewhere that to accomplish this feat he had to make multiple dips in the pool to maintain his wet look while filming. It was a success in my book. I hope he enjoyed it.
