This just happened this week: FORT MYERS, FL -- Police in Florida are looking for a man who went pond fishing last week inside of a Bass Pro Shop in search of a rare catch. The Lee County Sheriff’s Office says the unidentified suspect entered the store last Wednesday with a fishing net and went to the pond inside the store.
The man then used the net to capture a tarpon and pulled it from the water before he walked out of the store. The man fled from the scene and police are now asking for the public’s help in finding him. A video captured by someone inside the store and shared by police shows the man and the tarpon passing by shortly after the fish was pulled from the water.
