I suppose I should believe people sometimes aren't clearheaded, for I wasn't Tuesday evening. For some reason I got the notion in my head that furnace 14's lid goes left, when it actually goes right. I've opened that furnace many times. I think the heat must have addled my brain. It was 119° in Phoenix this afternoon, but the good news is that NWS has predicted a chance of showers Saturday night and Sunday night.
