I've often wondered what happened to Dee. I am no mechanic but I think she damaged her truck beyond repair on the rough terrain getting into those woods. I know I wouldn't have attempted taking my vehicle through there.

I never knew her full story - who and what she was running and hiding from. I just went there one day and she and all her belongings were gone. I suspect law enforcement got involved and her truck had to be towed out of there somehow as camping is forbidden although I have come across people camping down there at various times and have seen the remains of fires people have started. I always check when I go there as I wouldn't be surprised to see her there again some day - hopefully with a better vehicle and under better circumstances.
