I think Mike just genuinely forgot to check the fuel, he has form for doing so. And it’s not my choice to “allow” them to do Paul or not. The bakery business he works for is his dad’s and has been in the family since his great-great-great- grandfather founded it back in 1800 and something. They do it to everyone - no exceptions particularly, for the owner’s son - so he has known it would happen. They do carry it out indoors in the winter apparently so he won’t suffer too much. Alfred and I have scheduled our next off-road adventure for next weekend and ther will be other people there as well, so lots of wet and muddy people to watch, should be fun.
