It was good fun and you are right the older guys (Chris, Tom, Simon and Kevin) are old a few years older than us but now they are no longer at school or uni they don't play sports regularly, though to be fair they do take part in the morning exercise swims most days and are fitter than a lot and don't forget they all do manual work of some sort or other most days.
We all just though shorts for having a kick-about would be easier than long trousers or trackies. As it turned out no-one was wearing undies. Whilst we were standing around in a rough circle in the garage yard with the hoses running as we washed the mud off each other, Paul and Ian pulled off their shirts and asked to have the mud washed off their bodies and then, much to everyone else's surprise, they dropped their shorts and it ended up with all of us doing the same as we laughed at each other prancing around under the cold water. It was only for a few minutes before we pulled on our shorts again and no-one was offended or embarrassed and it all felt rather natural and comradely.
