No, not much change in my diet. I had a cardiologist who told me to go on a low sodium diet, but when I did that I had attacks of hyponatremia, one of which happened while descending from a mountain peak. Believe me that is one place where you don't want your muscles to be sluggish when obeying the brain's commands. At first I thought it might have been dehydration. I tried drinking more water, and that didn't make things any better. I got off the mountain safely and went shopping, but I was dragging the whole time, using the shopping cart for support. Finally I did what Dr. Surdakowski told me not to do. I went to a restaurant and applied the salt shaker liberally. That did the trick. I walked out of that restaurant far steadier on my feet than I had walked in. No more low sodium diets for me!
