i have been scuba diving many times over the years, wearing anything from jeans and tshirt to suit and tie, combat and cowboy boots. each body of water varies, but usually the deeper you go, the cooler it is. of course, depending on where you are at, depends on what the water temp is. i did an ocean dive once, was told i needed a wetsuit. we went down to a hundred feet, the temp at that level was 70, which for me is very comfortable. i would been fine in a pair of jeans, but also depends on what your idea of cold is.
