One funny thing I've noticed about the women walking dogs is that they tend to detour as far around me as possible when they see I'm muddy. It's as if it's some kind of a warning sign that there's something wrong with me. As for transport, I've noticed women are more likely to ride horses and men are more likely to ride mountain bicycles.
