The bathtub is a convenient and economical way to do the laundry. Whatever doesn't need special care, I wear in the bathtub.
Sportswear, jeans, polo shirts, socks, and hoodies can easily be washed in the bath, one set every day. I get fully dressed, sit in the bathtub, and let it soak.
When I wash my hair I use a lot of shampoo, then put the hood over my soapy hair and rub it in. I relax for a while and then rinse the shampoo for my hair and hood. The rest of my clothes I lather up with shampoo too and then rinse under the shower.
After the bath I let the clothes soak in the bath for a while, then hang them out in the garden. If it rains, they get an extra rinse cycle. Then the wind and sun dry them and they smell wonderfully fresh, better than from the launderette.
