Sorry about your name in my earlier post. Don't quite know what happened there.
As you say, the jumpers would have taken longer to dry than anything else. Also, for those who aren't so well off, and probably only had one jumper, this must have been difficult to say the least.
On the other hand, as I said in the story, it does present a level playing field when everyone is dressed the same.
I wouldn't have cared about my underwear, as long as I wasn't wearing 'tighty whities'. Did you have to undress in the water so that everybody saw it. I guess not if there were girls in the class.
As for the bulges, I would have had the same problem.
