I think there's a bunch of reasons that might explain what happened. maybe Alex is a wackywet fan, maybe something else is going on. Either way, just inviting him to hang out is a great idea. Maybe you'll find a common interest in wackywet - or maybe you'll just make a new friend. Either way, there's nothing wrong with either outcome.
