Since my first memories at an amusement park (Astroworld), finding that you could get soaked repeatedly on some rides was a reason to go as often as possible. I found a few wet buddies to join me, then as an adult would lead groups of kiddos to these places on trips etc... and would always encourage doing things like running through fountains, standing on splash bridges, riding raft rides, etc... Coming to SoCal - SeaWorld added a bunch of chances for wet fun where sitting in bleachers waiting to get doused by whales seemed to be worth the price of admission for MANY there in the park! I had a job close by there at one time, would often take lunch and just watch :)
