I've been on this site for over 24 years.
I first found Wacky Wet World at 00:10 GMT on 22 November 2000 - I noted the time and date because it changed my life. Until then I'd been closeted and inhibited about my enjoyment of wet clothes, which I'd discovered in my early teens but kept secret, and I didn't know anyone else who was into it. That night I spent hours looking at photos and reading forum posts, and I was so excited I didn't get much sleep!
I'd never learnt to swim because of childhood issues including bullying and bad teaching, but I soon found the courage to start taking adult swimming lessons - aiming to be able to swim in clothes. I also opened up to my sister about my wet clothes interest - she said she'd wondered in our teens if I was into wet clothes but was never sure, and told me that learning to swim would give me a lot more opportunities. Our talk was very encouraging and a great relief.
Since then... well, I'm still not a good swimmer and still feel uneasy in deep water, and I don't get wet very often, but I've had some memorably good experiences over the years without feeling I had to hide them. I now have some health issues which are sometimes spoiling my fun, but I'm not giving up yet!
