Hood up or down?

When you swim or bathe in hooded garments (sun shirts, hoodies, anoraks, ponchos or capes) do you wear the hood up or down?

When possible, I wear the hood up. Feels more fully clothed that way. Some hoods are too big and could cover my eyes when swimming, so I avoid them or keep them down. A tight fitting hood that goes with every head turn and stays put is great for swimming and sun protection. Even when I duck under, it stays put.

Hoods can make wonderful noises when flooded. They also amplify the sound of moving water inside your hoodie. I enjoy that a lot.
