Hi Guys,

Long time no chat! So, here's a dilema for you all :)

I am now a 'monitor' at skwl (first year of becoming a prefect). It has just been lunchtime & I was on the outside patrol watching over the kids. Quite a few had pretty muddy trousers after doing knee slides on our rather water logged field, the rain water just isn't draining away & it's pretty cold so it's not evaporating either. One year seven kid (11 years old) was plastered in mud, white shirt was brown & when I approached him he was dragging his slimy brown blazer behind him on the floor! I asked him if he was OK & how he'd got soooo messed up. He smiled at me & asked if I was going to give him a detention for it?! I said, "no" I have got like that MANY times before, I was just checking you're OK because it's cold!" He laughed, "my so called mates thought it would be fun to jump me, drag me around the field & roll me in mud ... this is the result!!" He rubbed his hands down his thighs rubbing mud off, apart from it actually made things worse! His skinny black skwl pants were so wet & muddy that they just looked like his legs & muscles. I don't think his shirt will ever come clean again. To say he was completely fckd up is a MASSIVE understatement :)

At this point I became aware of about five or six other year seven kids hovering around in various states of muddyness. some with brown shoes (kids are permitted to wear all black nike airforce 1 trainers now as skwl shoes). Some kids with mud up their trousers & one lad with mud splattered up the back of his trousers & shirt, obviously from running around on the field. The trashed lad spoke to them, "look at me you TW*TS ... look what you have done!! I've got a dentist appointment after skwl wi MUM! She's gonna KILL me!!" The group sniggered loudly. One lad there obviously thought he was 'top dog' & out of everyone he was the cleanest, but still had some splatters.

I said to the trashed lad, "did this lot do this then?" They laughed again! He tugged his muddy tie, which had obviously been pulled by them. "I'm not grassing on ma mates Bro!" Now, I'm thinking at this point where have I seen & heard ALL this before? Oh yeh, when I was in year 7, 8 & 9 that was ME!!

So, I looked at the lad again. "Would you like to see them taught a lesson then?" He glared at 'Top Dog'. "Will you make him do something Bro?" I could see 'Top Dog' getting itchy. "Depends what you want him to do?" He smirked & made a hand gesture towards the lad, who was quite obviously a mate. "Make him take his trainers off, run across da field & slide thru dat muddy puddle!" I looked at 'TOP Dog', "are you going to do that then?" He shrugged uncomfortably but started to slip his trainers off together with his blazer. Wrecked lad pushed him, "NO in your bazer tw*t!!" Top Dog smirked & looked at me, his white socks were already getting muddy underneath stood on the field. He pulled his blazer back on & looked at the massive muddy puddle. He looked at the others, "do I hav to do dis Guys?" ... "YEH man!!" was the unanimous shout & laughter. He set off running across the field in his now filthy white socks, ducking down near the puddle & sliding through it with water flying up & everywhere. He stood up at the other side drenched to the skin, blazer & trousers shining brightly. Trousers stuck to his legs along with his shirt & tie to his chest. He wandered back splashing through the dirty water, his socks now completely brown with his toes highlighted. "FCK dats COLD!!"

So, there is another episode of something different later during lunch. But my question to you all is this. Firstly did those lads 'bully' the first kid by rolling him in the mud & secondly did I bully the 'TOP DOG'? Bear in mind I didn't say very much to him at all, but did my presence 'bully' him into it?

Safe,

Ry.
