Yes, outdoor swimming in natural clothes like jeans, t-shirt and hoodie makes sense to protect the environment. Many swimming pools have issues with cotton clothes, but their filters can hopefully take the microplastics out.

I swim 3x a week with clothes in the local indoor pool. They insist on manmade fibres like sports shirt, running tights (Tracksters), anorak and rain pants. I get many positive comments and questions from other swimmers.
