Wow. I've lived through one disaster (if you could call it that) in my life. A tornado tore through my town. It damaged a few houses and ripped the roof off an apartment building, but otherwise it wasn't too bad. It actually narrowly missed the fire station, and I remember wondering what would happen if the tornado took out our firefighters and fire trucks. I guess now I know - you people would just power through it and work with what you got!
But yeah, that sounds absolutely awful. Its a good reminder that I shouldn't complain if the pool is a little chilly or the lake I'm swimming in is a little muddy. Its not a big deal in comparison.
