Swim shirt in the pool

Hi everyone, I have a question and this is the only place where I feel free to ask.
I want to try and wear a swim shirt at my local pool, an indoor pool, mainly because I love the feeling and I feel more comfortable like this.I already know this can be done since in the rules it’s stated that a shirt of the right material can be worn but I’ve been going there weekly for 3 years and I’ve never seen anyone doing so apart from some parents that were there with their child.

I have three questions for you:
- What would someone think seeing someone swim with a shirt (rashguard/swimshirt) in an indoor pool? Is it too weird? I live in Italy and I don’t think it is a usual occurrence
- What excuse could be used? Do I just go there and say I want to do it?
- Have you ever done something similar?

Thanks and sorry for the questions. I’m really afraid of other people’s look but since I like this and with the cold season already started, I have until June 0 occasions to wear swim shirts outdoors since all pools are closed and water is really cold.
