Aside from the pandemic and costs making a convenient excuse for so many of our beloved mud events to be cancelled (several mud volleyballs, some mud runs, etc.) or just quietly disappear (Detroit's Mud Day, Fisher's adult portion amongst others) I've noticed several of the mud volleyball tournaments this year are more mud than water, a shift from years past. Thankfully Hannibal was still a delightful sludge amongst the rising tides.
