Nice summer weather means good spontaneous swims. I was heading home from work, and stopped at the waterfront, which is on my way home. Usually the place has many people there, fishing, kayaking, etc. but today there was no one around at all. There is a marina nearby, and there is a long, low dock you can walk out on. It's about 5 inches above the water. It was a hot day, and I was tired and really needed a swim, so I set down my wallet and my phone, took a small running start, and dove in fully clothed. It felt so good, the water was really nice and cool, and I floated in the water for a few minutes. I was wearing Levi's blue jeans, leather belt, white briefs, white socks, company T-shirt, and Nike running shoes. There was no ladder to exit the water, so I had to crudely scramble back onto the dock, dripping wet, before I headed back to my car. Thankfully I had a towel in my trunk, so I could at least keep my car seat somewhat dry. I drove the last leg home, and got straight into the shower, still clothed, to wash the salt water off my clothes and my body. It was a perfect end to a long work day.
