Wow, you really brought back vivid memories! I actually saw that "Spin & Marty" episode when they regularly featured it on the 1977 Mickey Mouse Club. It made an impression on me then as well, I was about 11, I think. I saw it on a black and white TV but for some reason (maybe it was in b&w anyway), that just enhanced it. I wish I saw the last episode you mentioned.
