Does your work get you wet occasionally?
For instance, lifeguards often get into the pool in their uniform, either to help a swimmer or for staff training.

Last year spent a few weeks helping a friend tidy up three acres of greenhousing on a farm he'd just taken on.
They had not been used for a year or so and on the first day I just started to clear the concrete pathways and weed the beds.
I'd been working for a couple of hours when the sprinkler system suddenly came on, I got quite damp before dashing out to the yard.
I hunted around for the controls but found nothing in the greenhouse and no stopcock either so eventually went back to my work.
Two hours later the sprinklers came on again and as it was so hot under the glass in the sun, I carried on working and just got wet, it was quite refreshing.
The sprinklers seemed to be on a regular timer of switching on for ten or fifteen minutes every two hours or so,
with the heat of the sun it kept the whole place really tropical feeling.
When my friend spoke to the agent for the seller they eventually found out that all the controls and timer were in the adjoining farmhouse,
but by that time I had decided to just get wet each day and enjoyed my work wearing just some old jeans and a t-shirt,
getting soaked to the skin each day for the three weeks I was there. Great fun.

I work for a landscaper during the summer and I am always getting wet either by just working outside in the rain or watering plants, planting shrubs etc. We are required to wear jeans and have company tshirts. We also have to wear workboots for safety reasons. I have three pairs because one or two are always drying out. My boss has figured out I don't mind getting wet so he is always sending me to the most wet or muddy jobs. It's an awesome summer job and when I graduate from college, I might start my own landscape company. Does anyone else have a similar job where they get wet often without anyone caring? I'd love to hear some stories.

I did a landscaping job for a family friend's business during holidays when at uni. After his foreman found out that I was a friend of the boss he gave me all the mucky and wet jobs to do a sort of test I suppose to see if I'd complain. It took him until the end of that first season to realise that I enjoyed getting soaked "by accident" when he was watering the new planting and claimed not to see me in the way, or when he swung a digger round and I had to jump into a still muddy pond to avoid getting hit. He apparantly told the boss that I must be daft for not complaining at being made to work all day whilst wearing sodden or mud heavy jeans, boots and tee shirt etc. It was great fun and I always looked forward to those periods of work, the money wasn't bad either for an impoverished student.

Among other things, I work on fountains. Whenever possible, I manage to get as wet as I can. I always wear dark Levis STF 501s and boots on the job, along with a long-sleeve western shirt. Usually my boots are 16-18" tall logger or lineman boots.
Sometimes I "accidentally" open the wrong valve and get wet down in the equipment vault. Other times I have to reach down into a pool to clear a drain, getting my shirt soaked, which then runs down into my Levis.
The best times are when I work on the fountain in the middle of a lake. No one can see me and the only way you can adjust the nozzles is to have then running. The water pool is 32 inches deep and if I wear hip boots they just flood, making it difficult to get around, so I just jump in wearing my 501s and boots.
I've been soaked for hours working out there when we were building the fountain. On a hot sunny day it feels great.

I`m a counselor in a Rehab Center.
We have a farm and we have a pool.
Sometimes I invent games around the pool, so you know the end.
We go to walk sometimes, and the preferred place to go is the local creek, I try all the guys wear jeans for thr walk.
The end... you know.

When I was 11, my parents ran a restaurant. I was one of the dishwashers. What a wonderful soaking wet job. I spent the next 5 summers with my jeans totally soaked. As soon as I arrived, there would be a pile of dirty dishes, so I would rinse them off with a sprayer, with the dish deflecting the water to my jeans. In less than five minutes, the front of my jeans was totally soaked. I wore a jean shirt with long sleeves, so I would fill the pots and pans sink up to the brim with water and place a number of dirty pots in the water at the bottom, so I would have to reach down to the bottom to retreive them, soaking my shirt sleeve to the armpit. Then I would bring the pot to the surface with it full of water, place the pot against my stomach and vigorously scrub it out with water heading down my shirt and jeans. Often I would have to take the mats out of the dishwashing room and hose them off. This was another soaking wet adventure.
There was a river between our house and the restaurant, so often I would walk in the river to get to the restaurant, thereby arriving totally soaked.
The waitresses, (who are still friends of mine), could not believe how soaked I was at all times. Sometimes, my mother would ask me to clear tables, so I would put an apron over my soaking wet jeans attire, and head out to do that, but generally I was in my dishwashing room.
I also did the lawn at the restaurant, always in completely soaked jeans.

I scuba dive frequently and often am called to do dive jobs for different people. they always expect me to show up in the regular neoprene wetsuit (which i have to wear in the winter due to it being so god awful friggin cold) but in the warmer months they are always surprised when i don the gear and jump in in just my regular clothes, boots and all. then they laugh about it and all is well. the last job i did this week the guy said "you going in with just your clothes?" and his wife said "honey he always does that - where you been at?". then after he got done laughing, again, all was well. he obviously had no problem with it, i am going out next week for another dive job for him - with the same wet "suit".

I have a mate who washes cars and loves getting wet doing that. He wears waterproofs in the winter but not in the summer.
He wears light combats and bark blue company shirt.
I used to clean my bosses pool and his grandson pushed me in a few times. We are now best mates and he knows I like getting wet.
He and I often swim fully clothed in the pool or sea. I also sail with him now and then and we love getting wet on the boat.
